the IDea
The idea behind stART was to take our own advice and spread it. To start. Start making art today. This message is important to us because it is frustratingly simple. Easier said than done. Our statement isn’t so much about results or final products, but rather just trying, just starting. The biggest issue that most artists face is permission. They haven’t allowed themselves to go for it. We’re here to give you permission.
Our Purpose
In the spirit of enabling people to start making art, we’ve partnered with local schools to ensure that 10% of our profits are funneled directly back to supporting the arts and the younger generations' access to them. Our intention is that a portion of our profits fuel a movement: that the funds put creative tools and resources in the hands of our nation’s children so that, for them, starting is never an issue. Through stART, we are starting something ourselves, inspiring our tee-wearers to start today, and giving our most creative citizens–our children–their own start.
